The Na Pali Coast Snorkel & Sail is a scenic Kauai ocean tour aboard the Leila, a beautiful 50-foot sailing catamaran. This trade wind sailing experience combines coastal sightseeing, snorkeling and time on the water along one of Hawaii’s most dramatic shorelines.
The destination is Kauai’s famed Na Pali Coast, a remote stretch of coastline known for 3,000-foot sea cliffs, sea caves, waterfalls and hidden beaches. As the catamaran cruises along the coast, the crew shares stories about the Hawaiians who once lived in this rugged and isolated area.
This Kauai snorkeling tour also includes a stop at a snorkel site when ocean conditions allow. All snorkeling equipment, flotation devices and instruction are included, making the tour a good option for guests who want both sailing and underwater scenery in one trip.
Nobody sails more, and it is not uncommon for the Leila to reach speeds up to 18 knots, or about 20 mph, when trade winds cooperate. Breakfast, deli-style buffet lunch and beverages are included, with beer and wine available after snorkeling. This tour is operated by HoloHolo Charters, one of Kauai’s well-known Na Pali Coast boat tour providers.
