Kayak Adventures - Secret Falls Tour
The Secret Falls Tour is a guided Wailua River kayak and hiking adventure that leads to one of Kauai's most beautiful waterfall settings. Paddle 2 miles along the scenic Wailua River, the only navigable river in Hawaii. Along the way, enjoy tropical views and pass Kamokila Hawaiian Village, where scenes from Outbreak were filmed.
Then leave the river and begin a rainforest hike of about 2.5 miles roundtrip. The trail passes through a lush area once reserved for Hawaiian royalty. Your guide points out ancient Hawaiian sites, native plants and interesting features of the valley's natural setting.
The highlight of the Secret Falls Tour is Uluwehi Falls, also known as Secret Falls. This beautiful 120-foot waterfall is a favorite stop for photos, swimming and relaxing in the rainforest. Once there, you can cool off near the falls, enjoy the scenery and take a break before returning by trail and kayak.

Important Notice – Wailua River State Park Entry Fee: The state of Hawaii is charging a $5 per person (age 4 and up) fee for entrance to Wailua Marina (which is part of Wailua River State Park). Tour participants are responsible for this fee. This fee is collected by the state at the park entrance, is not included in tour pricing, and credit card payment is required (no cash accepted).
DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH:
South on Hwy 56 through Kapa'a town. Go through 4 traffic lights. Turn left into Coconut Marketplace parking lot. Look for the huge tower. We are located in the kiosk underneath.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH
Take Hwy 50 through Lihue. Turn left onto Hwy 56 north towards Wailua/Kapaa. Cross Wailua River bridge (double bridge), go through two traffic lights. Turn right into Coconut Marketplace and parking lot. Look for the huge tower. We are located in the kiosk underneath.
Restrictions
Expecting mothers are welcome to join this tour through 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Participants must be at least 5 years old.
