Grand Deluxe Flight
The Kauai Grand Deluxe Flight is a scenic fixed-wing air tour with Wings Over Kauai. This 65- to 70-minute flight circles the island and gives guests a wide view of Kauai’s beaches, canyons, valleys, waterfalls and coastline.
First, the tour departs from Lihue and heads southwest toward remote Kipu Kai Beach. This beautiful shoreline became known after appearing in the movie 6 Days and 7 Nights. Then, the route continues toward Hanapepe Valley and the waterfall made famous in Jurassic Park, when weather conditions allow.
Next, the flight continues over Waimea Canyon, often called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” From above, you can see colorful rock walls, deep valleys and dramatic west side scenery. Farther north, the Na Pali Coast comes into view with 3,000-foot cliffs, isolated beaches, waterfalls and sea caves.
Along the way, you’ll also enjoy views of Bali Hai, Hanalei Valley and the waterfalls around Mt. Waialeale, one of the wettest places on Earth. In winter, you may even spot humpback whales in Kauai’s waters when conditions are right. This Kauai air tour offers a broad look at the Garden Isle from above.
In addition, Wings Over Kauai features an expert agricultural narrative created by owner and chief operating pilot Dr. Bruce Coulombe, a research scientist. As a result, the flight adds extra local context to the scenery and gives guests a more unique fixed-wing tour experience.

Driving directions: Bear left at the 3 flags and turn right at the Air Service Hawaii sign. Free parking is available. The Wings Over Kauai customer counter is located behind the area of orange seats in the terminal facing the parking lot (no sign outside the terminal).
Restrictions
Maximum weight limit per flight is 1,100 lbs (499 kg).
Children under 2 years old fly free of charge and can sit on a parent's lap during the flight.
Passengers need to bring a government issued photo ID. International passengers will need their passport.
Special Notes
Travelers arriving on a cruise ship: You can catch a taxi from the cruise ship port. The Wings Over Kauai check-in office is only a 5 minute drive up the hill.
